Tsitsikamma

Tsitsikamma - the name means 'Place of Clear Water' - is the last bit of indigenous forest that once carpeted the whole coastline.

Ancient and enormous hardwood trees are home to unique birdlife, plantlife and small animals. This beautiful forest environment borders the wild and rocky Indian Ocean coastline and is full of history, mystery and legend.

The Tsitsikamma National Park protects the area and is one of the most magical places in the region. Visit it for beautiful coastal walks or more demanding hikes through dramatic scenery.
