Grootbos Private Nature Reserve provides protection to 12 square kilometres of fynbos wilderness as well as the largest milkwood forest in the world.

Located near De Kelders and Stanford on the Whale Coast there are panoramic views across coastal dunes and out to sea over beautiful Walker Bay.

Grootbos Nature Reserve has gone to great lengths to preserve the natural vegetation and uplift the local community. Activities available at Grootbos include 4x4 drives, horse riding and guided walks through the fynbos and along the sandy beaches to discover the caves.
