Near the Paul Kruger gate of the Kruger National Park, Hazyview derives its name from the summer haze that envelopes the low bush land.

Only 40 kilometres from Nelspruit this charming South African town of Hazyview has become the gateway to the Kruger Park. Whether you're flying into KMIA or driving from Johannesburg, anyone looking to self-drive through Kruger will want to spend a night or two in Hazyview.

From Hazyview, the closest gate to Kruger is only 10 kilometres away (Phabeni Gate) and the Kruger's most popular gate, Paul Kruger Gate, is only 45 kilometres away.

Visitors can organise a number of adventure activities in Hazyview to add some spice to their Kruger safari. Activities on offer include hot-air ballooning, quad-biking, abseiling and river rafting.

There's a good choice of restaurants, stores and bars in Hazyview and overnighting here is a much better option than nearby Nelspruit - which lacks the small-town feel and safari buzz.
