Jeffreys Bay

Jeffreys Bay was a quiet fishing village until its sandy warm beaches and perfect swimming and surfing bays were discovered. Jeffreys Bay has some of the most sensational surf in the world.

The waves just go on and on in perfect right-breaks, and every July the beach gets packed with freshly waxed boards and sun-bleached blond surfers for the national surfing championships.

When the tide has gone out and the surfers have retired, the beach is yours to stroll and comb for its rare and beautiful shells, washed up by the warm Indian Ocean.
