Kariega Family Lodge is a comfortable family lodge situated in the peaceful wilderness of the Kariega Game Reserve. Set amongst indigenous bush, the lodge chalets offer secluded privacy and spectacular scenery.

The Kariega Family Lodge is contained in a fenced off area free from predators, but various birds and small animals can be seen going about their daily business from the comfort of your deck. Listen out for the cry of the African fish eagle, and, if you're lucky, you may just spot one of these majestic raptors in full flight.

Such unspoilt surroundings may tempt you to just sit back, relax and admire the view, but a stay at the Kariega Family Lodge offers plenty of opportunity for adventure. There are also a number of activities that cater specially for children, like the Junior Rangers club.

Go hiking, mountain biking or horse riding through the wilderness. Embark on a peaceful river cruise or set off exploring in canoes. Enjoy some excellent fly-fishing, then head off on an exhilarating game drive in the Kariega Game Reserve - home to the Big 5, as well as hippo, giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species.
