The history of Belvidere Manor Hotel is intimately tied to that of Knysna. Originally the home of a distinguished family, this Georgian-style manor provided a warm welcome to dignitaries visiting the district. The Restaurant at Belvidere Manor offers mouth-watering local cuisine. Relish the taste of Knysna's world-renowned oysters, local cheeses, Karoo lamb and venison. Enjoy your meal in the dining rooms in the main house, or on the veranda by candlelight.

The Bell Tavern, Knysna's smallest pub, is housed on the site of the original Belvidere farmhouse. Pub meals are served in the garden in summer. During winter the wood-burning stove will keep you cosy as you dine. A wide selection of beers, wines and spirits are available.

Accommodation at Belvidere Manor consists of 34 cottages.

Each cottage is surrounded by pretty, indigenous gardens and set apart from its neighbours by a white, wooden fence.

Choose from cottages with a view of the gardens or of the Knysna Lagoon. The cottages are single- or double-storey with 1, 2 or 3 en suite bedrooms. Each cottage has a wide veranda, spacious lounge with fireplace and fully-equipped kitchen. The cottages are serviced.
