Be part of a unique and memorable experience when you stay at Elephant Lodge in Knysna Elephant Park. The park is a sanctuary for orphaned and sick elephants where you'll get to interact with these elephants 24 hours a day and share cherished encounters as you help nurse them back to health.

A 6-bedroom lodge has been incorporated into the elephants' sleeping quarters so that you and your family can watch the elephants as they settle down for the evening, feed the baby elephants their milk during the night and walk in the bush with the elephants in the early morning.

Spend your days at Elephant Lodge taking part in a daily tour, elephant-back rides or walks, private sunset safaris or just relaxing in the Elephant Lounge and quietly observing these gentle creatures as they tuck into their evening meal.

While the elephants are definitely the main attraction, Knysna Elephant Park also boasts beautiful views of the Outeniqua Mountains and is home to an untouched area of indigenous Knysna forest.

The Askaris Restaurant at Elephant Lodge operates independently from the lodge and is open to guests for breakfast, lunch and tea.

Alternatively, meals can be enjoyed at one of the local restaurants in the nearby towns, or prepared and eaten in the privacy of your room, where you can relax on the patio and watch the elephants interacting with one another.

The 6 comfortable rooms at Elephant Lodge consist of 3 luxury rooms, 2 standard rooms and one family room. All the rooms have been built within the elephants' boma and are tastefully decorated with a distinct elephant theme throughout.

The accommodation is self-catering and all the rooms come complete with en suite bathrooms. The family room has a kitchenette and an additional sleeper couch, while 2 of the luxury rooms have private patios with lovely views of the park.
