Leaving Johannesburg behind, you head through Mpumalanga and some breathtaking vistas of the Lowveld. Blyde River Canyon and God's Window will be some of today's highlights.

You spend the evening just outside the Kruger National Park.

You get up early and visit a wildlife rehabilitation centre for an educational experience before entering the Kruger National Park.

The next 2 days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve, and you stand a good chance of sighting elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo - Africa's famed 'Big 5'.

An optional night drive with one of the South African National Park (SANP) rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals, and this activity can be booked through the SANP office.

You can also go on a dawn game walk, to help you gain a better understanding of the mysteries of the bush.

Today you leave the Kruger National Park and cross the border to Swaziland. Despite being the smallest country in the southern hemisphere, Swaziland lays claim to some of the best game reserves and national parks in southern Africa.

You spend the next 2 nights in the Mlilwane Nature Reserve where you are able to explore the area on foot. You also have the opportunity to experience Swazi culture firsthand on a visit to a traditional village.

The following day can be spent relaxing, hiking around the area or going on any of the optional activities including mountain biking, horse riding and game viewing.

Leaving Swaziland, you travel through a subtropical region towards the Indian Ocean.

You spend the afternoon exploring the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park , a world heritage site, and enjoying this unique and beautiful area. Optional activities include a popular lagoon cruise.

Leaving St Lucia behind, you journey down the coast to Durban. You spend your last night in this vibrant city.

Although the tour has officially ended, it is possible to go out this evening to try one of Durban's famous curry restaurants or some of the local clubs and bars.
