Plains Tented Camp is situated in a private concession witin the Kruger National Park, and is built in true pioneer tradition, reflecting the ambience of a 19th century naturalist's rest.

The safari lodge overlooks the spectacular Timbitene plain; the best place to spot game is the wonderful private plunge pool.

Plains Tented Camp was constructed with 100% natural materials, and great care has been taken to preserve the pristine natural surrounds. The whole safari lodge is raised on stilts and solar power is used for all energy requirements.

The same values are seen in the Rhino Walking Safaris motto: 'tread lightly on the land'. There are few truly wild areas left in the world, and preserving this wilderness is one of Rhino Walking Safari's highest priorities.
