Game drives are what going on safari is all about. While you relax, perched in an off-road vehicle with your camera in hand, a ranger will chauffeur you through the bush, using his expertise to track down various animals.
Private lodges offer two game drives a day (included in your accommodation fee).
For self-drivers, don't feel left out, you can book a morning or night game drive through any of the rest camps. Game drives generally last three hours, and are usually accompanied by a coffee service in the bush in the morning or sundowners on a night drive.
Manyeleti Game Reserve - Private and peaceful with amazing rangers, the Manyeleti is arguably the most picturesque region in the Kruger area. Cross fields of pale yellow grass which stretch to the horizon, then turn off-road into rich green forests.
The rich colours of antelope and the thick, black hides of buffalo contrast against this delicately coloured landscape making for unbelievable photo opportunities. Photographs taken in the Manyeleti are sure to be amongst your best while on safari.
Sabi Sand - Much busier than the Manyeleti, what the Sabi Sand makes up for in radio chatter and large number of vehicles on game drives it makes up for in animal sightings. Don't be surprised if you see all of the Big Five in a single game drive in this area.
