Enjoy a sunset game drive in the bush, topped off with a brief sundowner stop, as you prepare to cruise around the wilderness at night. Huddle under blankets while your ranger tracks down various night-time creatures.

Night game drives bring with them an entirely different bush experience. Although you will not get classic safari sightings and photographs, the potential for witnessing interesting encounters occurs at night, as nocturnal predators shake of the day's heat and move through the cool night in search of warm prey.

Watch male lions patrol their territories, listen to elephants feed in the dark, or track down hippos (these hefty mammals are known to be very mobile during the night, and graze for up to seven kilometres from their water sources).

Arrive back at the lodge just in time for a lavish dinner with your cheeks red and your blood bubbling with excitement.

Please note: self-driving is not allowed in the Kruger Park at night, and park gates are locked after sunset. If you return to the park gate after the cut-off time you face a fine and possible removal from the park.
