Kruger National Park » Wildlife » Reptiles

There's a wealth of reptiles and amphibians around the Kruger Park, from the discomforting crocodiles that infest the rivers, through to the hundreds of chirruping frogs on those rivers' mud banks, to the cute geckos on the walls of the huts.

Geckos play an important role in controlling the population of another group of animal that you're likely to encounter - insects, including the ever-annoying mosquito. So while admiring their dexterity and hunting skills as they stalk their winged prey, remember that it's the geckos you'll have to thank for a peaceful night's sleep.
