Garonga is an exclusive camp in the greater Makalali Conservancy, situated west of the Kruger National Park. The area has a wide variety of game and offers a range of activities which enable you to get close to the animals.

Whether you choose to go on a game drive or a wilderness walk, you will have the opportunity to view the game up close.

Friendly and interactive staff will guide you on game-tracking excursions, and to get even closer to nature, you can sleep under the stars on a raised deck 20 minutes from the camp.

Back at the camp, take some time out for yourself with a relaxing bath in the bush, or simply laze in a hammock with a good book while watching the grazing impala. The Sala offers aromatherapy and reflexology treatments, as well as Indian head massages.

If you would like to have a sleep-out on the deck, Garonga will arrange a picnic hamper complete with hot and cold drinks. Dining under the stars, surrounded by the African veldt, is a truly magical experience.

Garonga has 12 tented rooms situated on a dry riverbed - each with a wooden deck with views across the veldt. The spacious rooms are decorated in a cream and caramel colour scheme, with large, draped beds and fine linen. There is both an indoor and outdoor shower.

The Hambleden Suite contains an ebony 4-poster bed with an en suite bathroom, which includes a hand-beaten copper bath and matching basins. The Suite also has an outdoor shower, as well as a private pool and deck.
