Sable Camp is situated in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bush. This classic camp has a distinctly colonial feel, enhanced with modern comforts such as satellite tv and internet connectivity in the comfortable library area.

The game viewing experience at Sable Camp is difficult to beat. If the aim of your South African safari is to tick off your Big 5 list - then Mala Mala should be one of your first choices.

Day and night game drives take place in open vehicles, with off-road driving allowing your ranger to track animals even in thick bush. Optional walking safaris teach you more about the vegetation and smaller animals, with the possibility of some big game encounters along the way.

During the heat of the day the intimate safari bar, swimming pool and large wooden deck surrounding Sable Camp provide relaxing areas from which to admire the views. You can also browse the safari boutique, work out in the small gym or perhaps take an afternoon siesta.

Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of Mala Mala in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, adjacent to South Africa's Kruger National Park.

Food at Sable Camp includes a variety of African dishes such as venison and bush cuisine, accompanied by fine South African wines. Dinner is traditionally served around a log fire in the reed enclosed boma, but can also be enjoyed in the air-conditioned dining room or on your private verandah.

Start your day with either a continental or full English breakfast, including delicious options such as pancakes, French toast and smoked salmon bagels. A buffet lunch is served either in the dining room, or on the large safari deck overlooking the Sand River.

Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches can also be arranged at no additional charge.

Sable Camp accommodates 14 guests in 5 luxury suites and the Lions Den - a 2-bedroomed, spacious suite with magnificent views.

Suites are decorated in traditional safari style with king size beds, high thatched ceilings and a comfortable sitting area. Each suite also features a private verandah overlooking the surrounding bush and 'his & hers' bathrooms.
