Overlooking rolling spekboom valleys, main guest areas include a spacious sitting room, dining room and bar area, interactive kitchen, sparkling rim-flow lap pool and interpretive centre. Even though it is not fenced in, there is still a certain element of safety at this colourful and fantastic lodge.

The 'fun member' of the Kwandwe family, Ecca Lodge is constructed of stone gabion walls and corrugated iron. Set on a gently sloping, densely vegetated hillside, the lodge is airy and open with barely a barrier between indoors and the African bushveld.

Kwandwe Private Game Reserve lies in the heart of South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape and is a natural conclusion to a journey along the world-famous Garden Route.

Kwandwe has a population of South Africa's national bird and aptly means 'Place of the Blue Crane' in Xhosa, while its 22 000ha is home to a variety of wildlife.
