Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a rambling game farm which is located 7km outside Oudtshoorn. This scenic, secluded lodge is situated on the edge of a waterhole, surrounded by panoramic views of the Swartberg Mountains and the Little Karoo.

On arrival, a guide will escort you to the lookout lounge, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink, before retreating to your spacious tent and exploring what the lodge has to offer.

Embark on an early morning or late afternoon game drive in an open viewing vehicle, where knowledgeable guides will lead you around the reserve. You are likely to spot a wide variety of animals, including elephant, Cape buffalo and giraffe.

Back at camp, cool down in the large swimming pool or see how many of the area's 217 bird species you are able to spot. Absorb the serene atmosphere before enjoying an ice-cold sundowner which is served from the open-air bar on the lookout deck.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers 25 en suite tented units. Each unit has a private wooden deck which offers uninterrupted views of the dam and surrounding mountain.

Choose from 9 Superior tents which are situated on the water's edge, or stay in 1 of 16 Luxury tents which are located just a few metres from the dam. These tents come equipped with a private outdoor shower, as well as a dual air-conditioning unit, ensuring total comfort during any season, be it a sweltering Karoo day or a chilly winter night.
