Makuleke Concession

The Makuleke Concession is a private area in the north of the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The concession is named after the Makuleke people who were forcibly removed from the area in 1969. In post-apartheid 1994 they launched a claim to regain their ancestral lands, and the land was restored to them in 1998. They now own a significant portion of the Kruger National Park.

Wildlife is abundant in the Makuleke concession.
