Mimosa Lodge, an attractive Edwardian Hotel which stands in a side street in the small picturesque town of Montagu, is an oasis in the rough landscape of the Little Karoo.

On arrival you are personally welcomed and taken to your en suite room or suite. Fresh fruit, chilled water, a decanter with local Muscadel, and books & magazines are among the compliments that await you in your room.

The 3 lounges invite you to read and relax, or get to know fellow guests over a drink. The library caters for all literary tastes and the bookshelves are lined with selections by well-known authors and novelists. Reference books on nature are also available for the wildlife enthusiast.

The big garden at Mimosa Lodge features a black-marbled pool where you can find relief from the Karoo heat. You can explore the town and visit the many local attractions and landmarks in the area including exploring the Robertson Wine route, visiting the hot springs, or taking a tractor trip to the top of Langeberg.

Mimosa Lodge is located on Route 62 connecting Cape Town and the Garden Route, in Montagu in the Little Karoo, which is about a 2-hour drive from Cape Town.

Dinner at Mimosa Lodge is a 5-course affair with each course an artistic creation. The breakfast buffet offers home-baked and home-made treats, while cooked breakfasts are freshly prepared as per your personal preferences.

All of Mimosa Lodge's 9 bedrooms and 3 suites are individually furnished with period pieces which successfully capture the ambience of a bygone era.

All bedrooms are en suite and furnished with either twin or double beds. Some rooms open into the beautiful garden, others are on the first floor level and access the Victorian veranda.

The Orchard Suite has a private balcony offering a spectacular mountain panorama. Everything is generous in this suite - from the king-size, extra length bed to the stately bathroom with both a shower and corner bath.
