Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay is 392km from Cape Town via the N2 coastal route and signals the start of the Garden Route.

With 24km of white sandy beaches, including the only north-facing beach in South Africa, the protected bays of this seaside town are perfect for yachting, kayaking and boat trips to Seal Island.

Mossel Bay has its 'glitzy' side with the small and understated Garden Route Casino, but golf is where the real action is taking place and the region is fast becoming a golfer's destination.

The recently completed Pinnacle Point Golf Estate and Golf Resort is the apple of the region's eye. It's a championship course with seven signature holes (most courses have one) perched on a cliff that stares out to sea. Part of the challenge is keeping your eye on the ball when the views are this good.
