Deep in 1 300 hectares of indigenous forest is the magical Serenity - Forest Eco Reserve, surrounded by dense green foliage, hanging fronds and sparkling streams and waterfalls. Connected by suspended wooden bridges are a limited number of thatched lodges, architecturally inspired by Swazi Beehive Huts. Each spacious lodge at Serenity is surprisingly modern and luxurious inside, with polished wooden floors and African inspired decor.

A sanctuary for birds, butterflies and ever increasing wildlife; watch nature go about its business from the comfort of your deck in the trees or hike along the marked trails, cooling off under waterfalls as you go.

The reserve consists of changing landscapes, from the tropical valleys and forested mountains to open grassland, a perfect vantage point to watch the sunset.

Enjoy African inspired cuisine and alfresco breakfasts served in Serenity - Forest Eco Reserve's covered restaurant and open deck area overlooking the lush forest.

Afternoon tea and cake are also served in this area, located near the swimming pool.

At Serenity - Forest Eco Reserve there are 6 Forest View Suites tucked into the forest itself, overlooking the river and connected to the dining, bar and pool area by suspended walkways.

Further away from the communal area and with private decks overlooking a tranquil lake are 3 Lake View Suites. One of these is set even further away to ensure privacy and consists of 2 en suite bathrooms and its own lounge with cosy fireplace. This too is surrounded by a large deck overlooking the koi-filled lake.
