Die Kraan Ladies Bar at Zomerlust Gastehuis has close ties with the history of the Paarl Rock Brandy Cellar. Legend has it that an underground pipe linked the maturation casks in the original cellar to a tap ("kraan"), now a feature of the cosy bar.

You can enjoy al fresco dining on the large patio or treat yourself to a proper South African braai (barbeque) in the gardens.

Zomerlust Gastehuis has 10 individually decorated, en-suite bedrooms in the manor house, each with a telephone, TV, remote controlled air-conditioning, heated bathrooms, safe, and coffee & tea facilities.

"Die Stal", the original stables in the gardens, has been restored to house 4 comfortable en-suite bedrooms.
