Situated in the Phinda Game Reserve, Phinda Forest Lodge enjoys an environment rich in wildlife and big game, as well as beautiful and unique views.
The main lodge sits in an ideal position to enjoy the great views, with the central dining area, lounge and swimming pool overlooking the wetland pan. A great way to spend an afternoon is to sit back and relax as you watch wildlife come and go.
Birdwatching is fantastic and many different species inhabiting the area. The lodge's structures are raised off the ground on stilts, allowing small animals such as red duiker and suni antelope to wander freely around the forest. The area also has a thriving population of big game, with common sightings of lion, elephant, rhino, giraffe and buffalo.
Several game viewing activities are available, giving you the opportunity to experience great sightings. You can go on guided game drives and walks around the area, as well as enjoy rhino tracking.
Explore the waters on canoe and boat cruises, and get a taste for Zulu culture on community visits. You can also choose to simply spend some time relaxing in your forest chalet or in the swimming pool, as you admire the surrounding views.
LocationPhinda Forest Lodge is located on stilts in Phinda Game Reserve in Northern KwaZulu Natal, between the Indian Ocean and waterways of the World Heritage Greater Saint Lucia Wetland Park.
