Hog Hollow Country Lodge is situated in a private nature reserve, with views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains. The lodge is situated alongside a central dam, creating a private oasis on the edge of an indigenous forest.

Relax by the pool overlooking the Matjes River Gorge, or stroll along the forest's walking trails to see the elephantsat the Knysna Elephant Park. Keurbooms Beach, and Nature's Valley are 10min drive from Hog Hollow Country Lodge.

You could also take a boat ride out to sea, and get close to the whales and dolphins that visit this coastline. Whales calve in the area between July and September, while the dolphins play here all year round.

The main house and 12 charming cottages utilise African decor to create an inviting and homely atmosphere.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge is a private nature reserve situated 18km east of Plettenberg Bay, on the Garden Route.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge's chefs prepare the meals using fresh local produce. Choose from a wide selection of wines to complement your meal.

Farmhouse breakfasts are served on the wooden deck overlooking the forest on sunny days, or indoors by the huge fireplace when it is cooler.

In the evenings, you can enjoy dinners around the communal table in the friendly atmosphere of the candlelit main house.

Special menus can be drawn up for children and guests with special dietary needs.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge has 12 comfortable suites, all of which offer uninterrupted views of the forest and Tsitsikamma Mountains.

The rooms are decorated with earthy colours, naturally woven fabrics, artefacts from north-east Africa, and local hand-crafted woods. Each room has a private wooden deck overlooking the forest and all rooms are en suite with bath and shower.

Choose from the Garden Suites, the double storey Loft Suites or the Round House. The Round House, built from a reservoir, is a unique, circular duplex, and traditionally serves as Hog Hollow Country Lodge's honeymoon suite.
