Riebeek West and Kasteel
Cape Winelands
The small towns of Riebeek-Wes and Riebeek-Kasteel are situated in a beautiful agricultural area about 75km northeast of Cape Town. Riebeek-Kasteel is on the Kasteelberg (Castle Mountain), a solitary peak of Table Mountain sandstone, while Riebeek-Wes sits 4km away.
In spring, when the peach blossoms are in bloom, the area is covered in the soft pink of the flowers. The colours of the vineyards and wheatfields vary during the year, making the area into a rural patchwork quilt reminescent of an oil painting.
