The original old Fugitive's Drift farmhouse houses numerous works of art pertaining to the Zulu War and is a veritable museum of artefacts, relics and contemporary memorabilia.
The property is in a superb ecological condition, and the Buffalo River yields excellent fishing. The birdlife at Fugitive's Drift Guest House is diverse and abundant. Zebra, giraffe and a variety of antelope have recently been reintroduced.
Other battlefields are within easy reach of Fugitives' Drift, for example, the memorial of the Prince Imperial is close by, as is the Talana Museum. The Rourke's Drift Arts and Crafts Centre offers unique items and could be well worth a visit.
