The property is in a superb ecological condition, and the Buffalo River yields excellent fishing. The birdlife at Fugitive's Drift Guest House is diverse and abundant. Zebra, giraffe and a variety of antelope have recently been reintroduced.
Other battlefields are within easy reach of Fugitives' Drift, for example, the memorial of the Prince Imperial is close by, as is the Talana Museum. The Rourke's Drift Arts and Crafts Centre offers unique items and could be well worth a visit.

DiningThe original old Fugitive's Drift farmhouse serves as the dining room. It also has an outside eating area which has a great view across a plain with Isandlwana in the distance.
Six spacious cottages are available, each with twin beds and a commanding view of the surrounding battlefields.
