At Mardouw Country House, you can enjoy country living at its best. Wander through the beautiful garden, stopping to smell the roses or inspect the vegetable and herb garden that supplies the kitchen. Beyond that, take a hike through the mountain scenery, passing the working olive groves and vineyards on the way. You could always use one of the mountain bikes or quad bikes to explore the estate. Take a fishing rod for the well stocked dams or a golf club to practice at the driving range.

Alternatively, you can explore the surrounding area, well known for its extensive wine route and picturesque towns and villages. Enquire about the 8 seater coach if you would rather indulge without the worry of driving home. Tours can even be arranged to as far a field as Hermanus, to see the whales.

Karen, the chef at Mardouw Country House, will lovingly prepare your meals that are served alfresco, on the large veranda. Alternatively, dine in an elegant setting inside the house.

Mardouw Country House has 3 upstairs, en suite bedrooms (including one twin); all with panoramic views of the Langeberg Mountains from their private balconies. As with the rest of the house, these rooms have been carefully decorated with modern art and a subtle colour palette to create a luxurious, comfortable space.

There are also 2 ground floor suites. Each with a private veranda opening directly onto the swimming pool, an exclusive lounge and dining area, all in addition to the spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom.

The Superior Suite is an eclectic mix of vibrant reds and earthy tones that complement the African artifacts and open fireplace. The Deluxe Suite, on the other hand, is a combination of muted colours inspired by the veld, with artwork by well respected South African artists and fossilised moss embedded in the stone fireplace. The Deluxe Suite is suitable for those in a wheelchair.
