In the Bush - game drives and bush walks are the definite highlights
Arathusa Safari Lodge is situated in the remote northern wilderness of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. The camp, which lies below a forest of Knobthorn trees, is completely open-plan and has a traditional bush lodge feel.
This section of Sabi Sand is known for its rich diversity of animal and birdlife, with exceptional sightings of leopard and massive herds of buffalo. Knowledgeble trackers and guides combine entertaining anecdotes with interesting bits of information and an infectious enthusiasm.
An infinity swimming pool overlooks the lake. The resident hippo pod provides 24-hour entertainment, and many other animals come down for a drink.
Take an opportunity to relax and refresh between your game drives or after, by visiting the luxury spa that overlooks the waterhole. The lodge has 2 therapists so couples can partake at the same time.
Arathusa Safari Lodge offers both English and continental breakfasts. Meal times are a sociable affair; breakfasts and lunches are served buffet style on the timber deck overlooking the lake, while dinners are served in the starlit boma.
No more than 26 guests are accommodated at Arathusa Safari Lodge in Standard Rooms and Luxury Suites.
Standard Rooms: The thatched Standard Rooms each have a bathroom en-suite (with bath and separate indoor and outdoor showers), and a verandah. Twin rooms can also be arranged. Fabrics are natural and the design of the rooms is simple and elegant.
Luxury Suites: The all-new Luxury Suites at spacious and provide spectacular views of the surrounding bush. They also have private plunge pools, a large bathroom en-suite (with indoor and outdoor showers), lounge area and private shaded verandah.
There are no telephones or televisions in the rooms at Arathusa. In keeping with the traditional safari experience, the bush is best experienced "al denteā. Guests are however able to make calls from the reception area, and to send or receive e-mails and faxes.
