  • Diversity - the game rich Sabi Sands is renowned for its abundant wildlife and birdlife.

  • Wildlife - over 200 animal species, including the Big 5 can be seen in the Sabi Sands.

  • Authentic - this luxury lodge is based around an original Victorian homestead.

Located above the Sand River is Kirkman's Kamp, an historic safari camp with spectacular views of the unspoiled Sabi Sands wilderness.

Kirkman's Kamp was named in honour of W. Harry Kirkman, one of South Africa's foremost conservationists, and is decorated in 1920s style with French doors, rolling lawns, a safari bar, swimming pool and even tennis court.

Positioned around an original Victorian Homestead, a stay here will take you back to a time of hunting parties, tea on the lawn, and ball-and-claw baths.

The extensive Sabi Sand Game Reserve on the border of the renowned Kruger National Park is home to one of the most game-rich areas in Africa, with the Big 5 as well as cheetah, hippo, wild dog and giraffe often sighted. The diverse birdlife will provide even the most experienced birders with rare finds.

Experience the magic of Kirkman's Kamp with exhilarating game drives, delicious African-inspired cusine and luxurious private suites.
