If you're staying at Lion Sands River Lodge or Lion Sands Ivory Lodge, you have the option of spending a night at Jackalberry Treehouse, for an additional cost.

The tree-house is situated about 15 minutes from the lodges, positioned high up in a 100-year-old jackalberry tree, overlooking the dry Msutu riverbed.

A ranger will take you to the tree-house either at sunset or after dinner.The ranger will then collect you in the morning at a pre-arranged time that suits you, but you will be given a radio with which to get in touch with the lodge at any time.

Lion Sands Tree House is situated within Lion Sands Private Game Reserve, in the Southern portion of the 65,000-hectare Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

If you arrive at the tree house for sunset, a delicious picnic will be packed for you. You can enjoy your meal as you gaze out across the landscape from the top of the jackalberry tree.

The tree house is equipped with all the necessary amenities, a comfortable bed and bathroom facilities.
