Rattray's on Mala Mala is located on the banks of the Sand River in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which shares an open border with the Kruger National Park, allowing for free movement of game between the 2 reserves.

Hence, sightings of the Big Five are common and there are plenty of opportunities to view interactions between various, diverse species along the food chain, from ants to elephants, providing you with a glimpse of untamed Africa.

The focus of Rattray's on Mala Mala wildlife safaris reflects the ethos of game conservation that the reserve has maintained for the past 40 years; therefore, a maximum of 4 guests are permitted per safari vehicle, ensuring a more intimate wildlife experience.

In addition to safari activities, facilities within the elegant main building incorporate a viewing deck, complete with telescope, an air-conditioned library, a massage room and a gymnasium.
