This morning, drive yourself to the historic town of Stellenbosch where you'll stay the night at the River Manor Hotel. Situated on the famous oak-lined street - The Avenue - the hotel is nicely located near the city centre.

As the capital of the Cape Winelands region, your afternoon should be spent visiting these impressive wine estates if not for their wares then for their grandeur and beautifully sculptured gardens.

Today you get the chance to witness the beauty of the Garden Route as you drive along the coast through the towns of Mossel Bay, George and Knysna until you reach the Lairds Lodge Country Estate.

Situated between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, you can spend the next 2 days relaxing at a nearby beach, hiking along some beautiful trails, or just kicking back by the lodge's swimming pool.

Continue driving east along the coast past the city of Port Elizabeth where you'll turn inland to the River Bend Country Lodge.
