HillsNek Safaris is situated on the banks of the Bushman's River in a secluded corner of the Amakhala Game Reserve - a prime Big 5 area in the malaria-free Eastern Cape Province.

The main lodge is made of stone, canvas and thatch and has an open-plan lounge, bar with sitting area and dining room area with decks overlooking the surrounding area.

The swimming pool is situated on the main deck and is the ideal place to relax and take in some sun.

The 3 individual luxury tents are each set on a large wrap-around wooden deck and connected to the main lodge by a raised wooden walkway. The tents are positioned to offer a private and secluded experience.

Explore this diverse area on morning and evening game drives in your exclusive safari vehicle and guided walks with your private ranger. This reserve offers a glimpse of 5 of the country's 7 biomes and the varied wildlife found in each.

Aside from the Big 5, the birdlife found here is varied and abundant. Enjoy canoeing and boat cruises along the river, as well as white rhino monitoring & tracking.

Meals at HillsNek Safaris are prepared by your dedicated chef and enjoyed at the main lodge or in the privacy of your own tent.

HillsNek Safaris has 3 luxury, canvas safari-style tents. Each of the en suite tents is built on a raised wooden deck and is connected to the main lodge by a raised wooden walkway.

The canvas of the tents can be lifted up so you can enjoy the view of the surrounding area from your bed or from the large ball-and-claw bathtub.

Each tent is equipped with a king-size bed, outdoor shower, indoor and outdoor sitting area and a private dining area.
