Environment of Sun City

Sun City lies in the bushveld on the fringe of a 1,200-million-year-old volcano that forms part of the present-day Pilanesberg National Park.

This manmade resort has an exotic-natural theme that pervades every area - from the sprawling tropical gardens inhabited by monkeys to the swimming pools and artificial waterfalls; every area is an entertainment feature in the City of the Sun-king.

Sun City is divided into three distinct areas, the Cabanas, the Entertainment Centre and the Lost City.

One of the most attractive aspects of the Sun City environs is the accessibility of all three major areas. A shuttle bus operates between the various hotels, but in all honesty everything is within a comfortable and scenic walking distance.
