Getting to Sun City

Sun City transfers are the quickest and easiest way to get to Sun City from Johannesburg. There are three departures a day between OR Tambo International Airport and Sun City's small airport. Sun City transfers leave OR Tambo International Airport daily at 09h30, 13h00 and 15h00. Sun City transfers leave Sun City daily at 10h00, 12h30 and 14h30. The ride costs R355 per person, and is a one-way fare.

Another alternative - and possibly the most economical option - is car hire, or you can catch a bus from either Pretoria, or Johannesburg. The roads to Sun City are narrow and slower vehicles often get stuck behind one of the many trucks that use this route. On a bus, this makes for a crawling pace that many find frustrating.
