Do children stay for free at Sun City?

Yes - all children under the age of 12 who are sharing a room with their parents stay for free in all the hotels. Children are charged additionally for breakfast where this is included for adults.

Can we go on a day safari from Sun City?

Yes. Day trips to the Pilansberg National Park (about 15 km from Sun City) can easily be arranged prior to travel or once you arrive at Sun City.

How long is the drive from Johannesburg to Sun City?

Approximately 2 and half hours.

Can more than two adults share a room?

The hotels allow up to 3 adults to share a room. However, this will depend on availability at the time you book because only certain rooms are able to accommodate this. For more on Sun City accommodation click here.

Will we have complimentary access to the Valley of Waves from all hotels? Yes.

Do I need to pre-book all activities and tours prior to arrival?

Which hotel is best for small children?

We recommend Cabanas to be the best for families, but all the hotels welcome children of all ages.

Are there disabled facilities at Sun City?

Yes.

If I can not get availability at Sun City, are there places to stay outside the resort which are close by, and can we then enter Sun City just for the day?

Yes. There are several hotels and lodges within an hour's drive from Sun City where guests can stay as an alternative to the resort.

How far is the Pilansberg from Sun City?

Approximately 15 km.

Does the Pilansberg have all of the big five animals?

Yes, although cheetah and leopards are rarely spotted. The Pilansberg Game Reserve is also home to the world's 3rd largest white rhino population.

Is malaria a risk in the Pilansberg?

No. The area is entirely free of malaria.
