This low bungalow with the traditional covered veranda, situated in a large tranquil garden is an oasis of chic, contemporary style with vibrant, invigorating splashes of colour and modern technology.

Your hosts, the owners of Bloomestate, Carla and Maarten will ensure that you are comfortable and will be pleased to recommend activities and restaurants in the area. However, you could easily just laze around the very large garden, by the natural pond with the dogs or on a lounger next to the heated swimming pool.

The guesthouse itself is separate from the garden rooms and offers a bar area and a large, light lounge area, complete with fireplace for those cool country evenings.

There are also a number of good restaurants in Swellendam to choose from.

Bloomestate has seven individually decorated garden rooms themed according to the four seasons and three elements. Each is colour coded by bold splashes of bright, saturated colour.

Each room also has a sitting area, where you can sit back, place your i.pod in the docking station, check your email using the wireless internet connection or watch tv or a dvd. Alternatively, open the French doors and enjoy the tranquil, landscaped garden.
