The Cape Dutch guesthouse itself dates back to 1801, making it one of the oldest buildings in Swellendam and a national monument. It has been carefully renovated by the owners and stylishly decorated with antiques and artifacts from the couple's travels to the East and time spent living in West Africa.

The smallest details have been thought of, from the decor to the wireless internet connections. Each evening enjoy complementary wine tasting after a day exploring the area, practicing your golf swing on the guesthouse driving range or lounging around the 12m swimming pool.

At De Kloof, there are 6 bedrooms, a honeymoon suite and a 2 bedroomed family suite located in various buildings on the estate, creating a spacious and private feel.

Each of the rooms is individually decorated with interesting touches, but all the rooms have extra length beds and the finest linen. Each room has a private entrance and an outside area for relaxing.

The honeymoon suite is extra-special. It has a fireplace, large spa-bath, heated waterbed and fantastic views.
