A historical, boutique guesthouse in Swellendam.
Walking Distance - a short, pleasant walk into the nicest part of town.
Historic Building - built in 1801 it is one of the oldest buildings in Swellendam.
Spacious - the rooms are in various outbuildings so the guesthouse never feels crowded.
De Kloof is in a lovely, leafy residential street and backs onto an enormous garden with beautiful views of the Langeberg Mountains. Despite the quiet and tranquil country surroundings, De Kloof is only a short walk from the old, most interesting part of picturesque Swellendam and its variety of good restaurants.
The Cape Dutch guesthouse itself dates back to 1801, making it one of the oldest buildings in Swellendam and a national monument. It has been carefully renovated by the owners and stylishly decorated with antiques and artifacts from the couple's travels to the East and time spent living in West Africa.
The smallest details have been thought of, from the decor to the wireless internet connections. Each evening enjoy complementary wine tasting after a day exploring the area, practicing your golf swing on the guesthouse driving range or lounging around the 12m swimming pool.
De Kloof is situated in Swellendam in South Africa's Western Cape Province.
