Motswari lies in the Timbavati, a game reserve bordering the unfenced Kruger National Park famous for its lion population, especially the Timbavati white lion.

Large breeding herds of elephant have also chosen this rugged landscape as their home. Buffalo, which favour the mopane veld, are regular visitors, as are leopard, cheetah, and wild dog.

Lodge facilities include a traditional, open-air boma, a spacious lounge and bar overlooking a beautiful dam, an art gallery exhibiting original wildlife art, a fully-equipped conference room and a refreshing swimming pool.
