Whale Coast & Overberg » Attactions & Activities » Traditional Cape Meal

Join the enterprising fishermen's wives and fishermen's mothers of Kassiesbaai, the old fishing village in Arniston, for a traditional meal. You're sure to be welcomed with warm smiles and tales of daily life in a close-knit community that has changed little over time.

The women of Kassiesbaai make the best battered fish (freshly caught that day) and traditional Cape fishcakes, although don't forget to take your own drinks.

Because of the effort and fresh produce involved, these meals require a minimum of six people. Leave your name at the Arniston Hotel in advance, as they may know of others who would like to join you.
