Take advantage of the beautiful scenery found throughout Swaziland by exploring on foot. Hike through the mountains and forests, or alternatively take advantage of the horseriding that is often offered.

Birdwatching is also a popular pastime in Swaziland, as there is an abundant birdlife - over 500 species have been recorded.

Whitewater Rafting

Whitewater rafting on the Usutu River, especially during the rainy season, is a very popular activity for the adventurous.

The river flows through very scenic north-eastern part of the country, past the crocodiles and over rapids as you pass through the narrow Bulungu Gorge.

Golf

Enjoy an 18-hole round of golf in one of southern Africa's most scenic locations - most of the golf courses are fringed with indigenous vegetation and make for an enjoyable outing.

There are a number of golf courses in Swaziland, but the course at the Royal Swazi Spa Country Club is incredibly picturesque, with well-maintained greens and fairways.

Hiking

There are many small trails and paths that lead through the rural landscape of Swaziland to beautiful natural attractions such as waterfalls or panoramic views. Keep an eye open for signs pointing out these areas of interest.

Malolotja Nature Reserve is in the rugged highland area and offers some very good hiking trails.
