Environment of Swaziland

Swaziland's varied vegetation, from open grassland to forest, and from semi-arid savanna to subtropical mountain, provides for a great nature experience. Although not a renowned safari destination, big game can be viewed in some of the game parks.

Swaziland has a proud conservation history with farmland being turned over to wilderness as early as the 1950's. Problems of over-population and erosion are a threat in some areas.
