Stone Camp

Standard safari camp in the Mkhaya Game Reserve in the southern landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland.

  • Conservation Project - the reserve is dedicated to the conservation of black rhino.

  • Rustic Cottages - the semi-open cottages give a great sense of space in the African bush.

  • Intimate Game Encounters - the relaxed wildlife ensures great photographic opportunities.

Mkhaya Game Reserve, in the southeast of Swaziland, is home to the Reilly's Rehabilitation project. The vegetation in the reserve consists of acacia thornveld in the south and sandveld in the north, criss-crossed by dry riverbeds and dotted with waterholes.

At Stone Camp, you can enjoy a game drive in open Land Rovers with a local and experienced guide. Mkhaya is staffed and patrolled entirely by the local Swazi people and the guides are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and surrounding vegetation.

Sightings of elephant and white rhino are common, and the reserve is also home to the endangered black rhino and other threatened species including roan and sable antelope. Other activities include morning game walks - a great way to truly experience the beauty of Mkhaya.

Location
