Mkhaya Game Reserve, in the southeast of Swaziland, is home to the Reilly's Rehabilitation project. The vegetation in the reserve consists of acacia thornveld in the south and sandveld in the north, criss-crossed by dry riverbeds and dotted with waterholes.

At Stone Camp, you can enjoy a game drive in open Land Rovers with a local and experienced guide. Mkhaya is staffed and patrolled entirely by the local Swazi people and the guides are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and surrounding vegetation.

Sightings of elephant and white rhino are common, and the reserve is also home to the endangered black rhino and other threatened species including roan and sable antelope. Other activities include morning game walks - a great way to truly experience the beauty of Mkhaya.

Evening meals at Mkhaya are enjoyed outside around the fire, and your Swazi hosts are always willing to share stories of their rich culture.

Stone Camp consists of 12 stone and thatch cottages in the bird-rich riverine forest, overlooking a dry riverbed.

Each cottage has a main sleeping area with twin or double beds, and an open shower and bathroom behind a half wall. Each unit is totally private thanks to the thick vegetation.

Note that the camp has no electricity so be sure to charge your camera before arrival.
