General Restrictions

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passport General

Required by all

Passport Validity

Passports must be valid for 6 months from date of entry

Visa General

The following DO NOT require a visa:

1) Nationals of Tanzania

2) For stays up to 90 days by nationals of Hong Kong (SAR passport), Kenya, Macao (SAR passport), Rwanda & Uganda

Visa Notes

1) All British passport holders require a visa to travel to Tanzania and you should obtain one prior to travelling from your nearest Tanzanian diplomatic mission

2) Visitor's Pass are available on arrival to certain nationals, however it is strongly recommended that all visitors requiring a visa obtain their visa in advance (check details with nearest embassy/consulate prior to departure)

Entry requirements may change from time to time and should be checked with the High Commission of Tanzania

Transit General

Required by all except those as noted above and:

1) Persons continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft on the same day
