Dodoma Region
Tanzania
The Dodoma region covers about 5% of Tanzania's mainland (excluding the islands) and consists mostly of a plateau rising gradually from roughly 830 metres in the Bahi Swamps to 2000 metres above sea level in the highlands north of Kondoa.
The region produces mainly beans, seeds, grain, peanuts, coffee, tea, and tobacco. The capital city of Tanzania, Dodoma, serves as this region's capital.
