Lake Manyara Hotel

Standard hotel overlooking Lake Manyara.

  • Lions In Trees - the park is well known for its tree climbing lions.

  • Birds On Water - the lake, home to millions of flamingos, can be easily seen whilst lazing around the pool or on the viewing deck.

  • Cultural Kaleidoscope - a village guide is available for walking tours through local homes, farmlands, a kindergarten and a church, after which you will gather at the local banana-leaf bar for African fruit tasting.

Lake Manyara Hotel is perched on the base of the Rift Valley escarpment, on the border of Lake Manyara National Park. The lodge has excellent views over this 330 sq km park with its dense equatorial forest and remarkable concentration of wildlife.

When you're not relaxing at the lodge you can enjoy game drives and look out for lions perched in trees. If you want to escape the confines of a vehicle, you can go on a village walk or cover more ground by peddling a mountain bike past farmlands and acacia forests to the lakeshore with its abundant bird life.

Between game viewing activities you can cool down in the swimming pool or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bar. With its own landing strip, a direct flight to Lake Manyara Hotel means you have more time to view game or just relax.

Location

Lake Manyara Hotel is in an unfenced conservation area on the border of Lake Manyara National Park, in Tanzania.
