Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge has an incredible location on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, commanding panoramic views accross the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley and the Manyara soda lake. The area is renowned for its birds of prey, which inspired the design of Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, and the famous tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the Rift Valley.

The lodge specialises in providing numerous activities, which include daily excursions to the Great Rift Valley and National Park, walking safaris, mountain bike and canoe safaris, mountain climbing, guided bird walks and traditional dance performances in the evenings. Although one of the most popular 'activities' is relaxing alongside the beautiful swimming pool, and soaking up the show-stopping views.

'Boma' style rondavels echo the traditional Maasai styleof construction and are scattered around the lodge gardens. Each rondavel has four rooms on two floors, with the rooms on the upper levels having views over the rift valley. The lodge has an extensively stocked Africana Gift Shop, and just outside the gates are a number of stalls where you can buy wooden carvings and other local craft.

There are also special tariffs for children and young adults.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is situated on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the Manyara soda lake, Tanzania.

Meals at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge are buffet-style, and are set out in the circular dining area which has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Following dinner each day, you may choose to have coffee or drinks in the bar with its bright, colourful murals or outside, around the campfire. Evening entertainment is fantastic, with traditional music, and local singers and dancers preforming in the beautiful setting around the swimming pool.

With just a day's advance notice, guests can be treated to a private champagne "bush" breakfast, enjoying the breathtaking views of Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge has 67 clean and comfortable rooms housed in double-storey, thatched rondavels.

Interiors are decorated in vibrant colours, and rooms on the upper levels feature views across Lake Manyara. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with shower facilities, and a private veranda.
