Arrive in Dar es Salaam, from there you will transfer to the mighty Selous Game Reserve, where you will spend the next 3 nights at Selous Safari Camp.

Selous Game Reserve is one of Africa's least known yet wildest conservation areas and is an astounding 55, 000 sq km. The reserve is fed by the mighty Rufiji River and is home to over 1,000,000 large animals, including over half of Tanzania's elephant population.

However, one of the major attractions has to be the mighty river itself, home to one of the largest crocodile and hippo populations in Africa, swarming with fish which in turn bring about some of the world's best water birding.

The River has also formed several large lakes on its Northern bank, navigable by boat. The Selous Safari Camp is situated on one of these lakes, sheltered in a grove of one of Selous' many beautiful palm forests.

Over the next 2 days enjoy exploring all that the magnificent Selous Game Reserve has to offer.

While wonderful game-viewing can easily be achieved without moving from the camp itself, there are also a whole host of oppourtunites on offer that allow you to get out into the bush and enjoy more of the reserve.

Most activities begin after breakfast, when the animals are more lively and venture down to the lakes to drink.

Game drives, boating and walking safaris are available to experience up-close interaction with the amazing and abundant wildlife in the reserve.

Depart from the Selous Game Reserve and transfer to Ruaha National Park in the south-west of Tanzania. Ruaha is known as one of Tanzania's wildest parks and can only be described as true, unspolied natural wilderness.

Ruaha, due to its location in the Great Rift Valley and surrounding geological formations, is extremely diverse with access to several different habitat types offering a diverse game-viewing experience.

Your next 3 nights will be spent at Jongomero Camp, right in the heart of the Ruaha on the banks of a seasonal sand river. The camp is also situated close to a permanent water mass, therefore attracting a large amount of animals into the camp area. Being the only camp situated in this area of the park ensures unmatched privacy and a true wilderness experience.

Leave the rugged African wilderness for the beautiful Tanzanian coast, just 35 km south of Dar es Salaam's port.

Your last 3 nights will be spent at Ras Kutani, luxurious and idyllic beach accommodation set on long white stretches of pristine deserted beaches, warm blue seas and the perfect place to relax and unwind after an adventure-filled bush safari.

The temperate seas and proximity of coral reefs ensure a wealth of marine life for those keen on snorkelling. Apart from a variety of colourful fish; dolphins, whales and turtles are also frequent visitors to these shores and there is snorkeling equipment available so one can snorkel from the shore.

For those who prefer a somewhat drier experience, kayaks are available to explore the fresh water lagoon. And when the surf is up boogie boards provide plenty of thrills in the surf nearby.
