Superior tented camp in the heart of Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.
Inspired - Hemingway declared the camp's design as a 'boy's fantasy of independence'.
Prime Location - the sight of over 2000 buffalo in the riverbed below camp is not uncommon.
Game Viewing From Your Room - enjoy incredible game viewing from your veranda.
Mwagusi Safari Camp lies on a bank of the Mwagusi Sand River in Tanzania's Ruaha National Park, and overlooks a waterhole and riverbed, often populated with buffalo.
Ruaha National Park covers an area of 12,950 sq. km and is Tanzania's second largest National Park. It forms the core of a much larger (45,000 sq. km) ecosystem including Rungwa and Kisigo Game Reserves.
This small, exclusive tented camp offers plenty of opportunity for safari walks and game drives in the camp's open-sided 4WD vehicles. Each vehicle is equipped with reference books and bean bags for photography, medic-kits and all the necessities for a day in the bush.
Mwagusi's relaxed atmosphere and old-world style makes it a fantastic break from Tanzania's busier parks, while excellent game viewing includes sightings of all the big predators, as well as the increasingly rare African wild dog.
LocationMwagusi Safari Camp is located in the south west area of Tanzania, in Ruaha National Park.
