There are no fences and no artificial modifications to the natural fauna, allowing animals to wander freely through the camp.
The swimming pools are set in shade with day beds and towels. Game viewing, river safaris, walking safaris, fishing and mobile bush camping in pristine surroundings are all offered.
Selous Safari Camp provides 4x4 vehicles, specially adapted for close-up game viewing, which make for exhilarating early morning and evening forays into the surrounding bush. Expert guides are on hand to explain everything from unusual animal behaviour to rare and elusive species of birds, and even the life cycle of termites.
Set near the Rufiji River and its many tributaries, channels and lagoons, Selous Safari Camp also offers game viewing by boat, an opportunity for you to obtain close-up photographs and views of the many hippo wallowing in the water and the large crocodiles lurking on the banks.
