Sprawled across northern Tanzania, the Serengeti National Park covers 14,763km2 of raw wilderness.
The Serengeti is an unfenced park and is connected to Kenya's Masai Mara Reserve in the north and neighbours the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in its south-western corner.
The Serengeti ecosystem is about twice as large as the park, and includes the Masai Mara and the Ngorongoro conservation area, making it the largest and most complex ecosystem on Earth.
People usually visit the Serengeti as part of a longer safari. The proximity of such unbelievable and unique destinations, from the world's highest mountain to its largest volcanic crater, make it the absolute safari experience.
